Literacy Planet

Literacy Planet is a fun site where you can do spelling and comprehension. You can read then answer the questions or you can do spelling test. Literacy Planet is a bit like math whizz but its Literacy. One of my favorite things about Literacy Planet is that you can study the pre assessment before you do the real assessment. It has helped me a lot.   

 Gem/Point System: 

Literacy Planet has a Gem/Point System where you can buy outfits and look good. You get 1 gem for every 10% of your assessment, for example if you get 70% on your assessment you will get 7 gems. So make sure to get 100% on your assessments to get the maximum amount you can get.

Arcade games

There are also fun arcade games you can do (Battle Rocket, Code Phrase).  

Notes: Literacy Planet's lowest year level being 1 and the highest being 11.

Task Description: Kia Ora, Is this activity I complete a intro to Pythagorean. It was pretty simple but one of the questions got me. 

The Moon - Painting

 

Fun Facts about the moon: 

The Moon is Earths Only Natural Satellite. It orbits the Earth.

The Moon has water ( Nasa Says)

The Moon could be made from a piece of the Earth.

The Moon is the only moon that Earth has, but some planets like Jupiter have way more

The Moon has different phases depending on its position in orbit.

The Moon has heaps of craters which are holes from asteroids. Some are really deep and wide.

Task Description: Kia ora! Today I learnt some facts about the Moon and painted the Moon. It was really fun, I painted with my home class teacher Mrs Stone, Madi, Nadia and Aye Myat. It was really fun because the girls were talking about stuff that I have no idea existed, they were also very weird and laugh every minute ( A complement it was funny). It was really hard to gluing the tissues onto the paper for me. It was nice because I suck at painting so I just speed ran it and it worked out quite well because I wasn't overthinking. My favourite was cleaning my hands because it was nice having clean hands. Hopefully I paint again next term or do a big create activity like this.  

Term 2 Animation - Watch This Space

 

Task Description: Hello, This term I had to do an animation about Space, In the video above this text I do a animation about all the planets in this solar system. I really liked learning all the facts and theory's this term. I learnt so much and put the facts into this short animation! One of the things that helped making this animation was time. It was hard to draw each individual planet.

The Moon - Rona and The Moon

 

Task Description: Hello Today I learnt about the moon and how it works. It was nice learning about the moon because the moon is Earths Moon. Fun fact : The Earths Moon name is ' The Moon'. This is linked to earth and beyond because this is earth moon.

Decimal Fractions - Level 1& 2

 

Task Description: Kia Ora Today me and my friend Lincoln did some converting fractions and decimals, Mixed Fractions and also improper and proper fractions the hardest things for m are just decimal converting and some mixed fractions. But I bet with a little more of learning I could master these fractions easily. I'll of course be doing more of this kind of pre-algebra. 

I hope I can keep improving, I'll keep doing my best I can do.

Mastering equivalent fractions!

 

Task Description: Kia Ora, Today I just finished mastering equivalent fractions. I just notice that the other people are doing a different assessment then me. It turns out that I did the wrong task :/ This task is much more easing then I started. I really like fractions now that I actually used my brain.

Smashing Fraction

 

 

Task Description: This was my Smashing Fraction on introduction, Since i'm bad at fraction I did the easy level to complete it faster. Although I take 5 - 10 seconds to figure them out, I really like fractions. I am improve gradually.

Task Description: Hello today I learnt how to convert Mixed fractions and improper fractions. Although it was easy each one of them take me about 10s-20s to complete. I'd like to get more comfortable using fractions in the future. I am gonna keep improving. Have a good day!

Equivalent Fractions

Task Description: Kia ora, today at home I learnt about equivalent fractions. A little of the question were hard to do since I had no teacher to explain to me what a the numbers meant. But I did some research on google and tried to do my best! If I did do anything wrong please correct me. I defiantly think that fractions is the most confusing basic operation for me so far. Maths Olympics!!!

 

Task Description: Hello, Today me and my maths class did a maths tournament type of thing. You had to figure out the answers to the maths questions, Every answer you get you also get points. I think my group which had Myself, Aaron, Nina, Valessa and Kiarah won ( The reason I think my group won is because I got sick and went home but before I went home I check the leader board and we were 200 points ahead everyone, 200 is a lot of points )  . In the question above me we had to figure out a answer that had no numbers that the question had. My friend Aaron solved it. In this maths session we had to cooperate and use active listening. Fractions Recap

 

Task Description: Today me and my class did a fraction recap. I forgot most of the things because last time I did fraction were 1 and a half years ago. We used a lot of think because we did not know what a improper was. I learnt how fractions are similar to decimals. I also worked with my friend Bradley. Hello I’m reading this book called Sideways Stories From Wayside School and im am going to make a prediction of what will happen next ( It's very obvious ). Sideways Stories From Wayside School is just a weird school that was supposed to be built horizontally, but  it was built vertically. I'm up to chapter 10 which is Paul. The book explains all the weird characters. It’s really good. I can’t really make a prediction because it's just explaining all the characters. I think that paul is gonna be really weird and loud.

Task Description: Hello today I did a recap on maths graphs. I found the last questions confusing but My teacher Mrs Stone helped me out. We learnt about Line Graphs, Pie Graphs, Bar graphs and Histograms. Learning these graphs was really helpful because now I can tell the average kids in every class in our school. ( Which Is about 25-30 )

Google Meet With Friends!

 

Description: Hello Today me and my friends did a google meet together. A google meet is a app that allows you to talk to your friends together online. Its easy and simple to use. Anyways we did a kahoot and talked to each other for a little bit and said goodbye.
