The Zones of the Rocky Shore Report

  






The rocky shore is an intertidal habitat along the coast of New Zealand.

The rocky shore has multiple creatures living there and zones It is full of wildlife, and contains various creatures such as crabs,limpets and Acorn Barnacle. Spray zone. Spray zone is a zone where water never reachers. Supratidal zone or splash zone

The supratidal zone or the splash zone is the zone that is exposed and moistened. And it is the zone after the high tide zone.You could find rock louse there. And the supratidal zone only gets covered during water storms and king tides.


High tide zone is the zone below the supratidal zone or the splash zone. sometimes There could be no water there in the high tide zone, sometimes There could water there in the high tide zone. The middle tide zone,the middle tide zone, zone is the zone below High tide and higher then the low tide zone. You could find a hermit crab, or hermit crabs.Low tide zone, the low tide zone is the zone below Middle tide zone. It is the zone that mostly will have water there.

The subtidal zone is the zone below the intertidal zone. And is the zone that is permanently covered in water.It is the lowest zone. It has two names which are subtidal and sublittoral.

The Rocky Shore is a common place for New Zealand.

The Rocky Shore has many different zones including:The supratidal it has also two names so splash zone, Intertidal, Subtidal aslo sublittoral, and the spray zone which is the zone that gets untouched until a king tide,A big stormy storm two.high tide zone, middle tide zone and low tide zone are easy to understand able cause it has it in there name…

Overall… The rocky shore is a place to visit if you have a chance to go you should definitely do it.
